How do I contact other users to initiate a carpool?

  • Chat with other users by selecting their profile and tapping the “Chat” button the bottom of the page. If they respond to your chat and agree to share a commute, you can schedule rides.
  • The chat button can be seen in the Main Menu, on the Ko-zooKKies page, and on a Ko-zooKKie’s Profile.
  • From Ko-zooKKies Screen by selecting connect button opens with a predefined text, you can send it to the selected  Ko-zooKKie or else you can directly chat with the user.

Q: How do I schedule rides?

Ko-zooKKies Screen – Select a user from Ko-zooKKies screen with whom you want to share a ride. You will be taken to their Profile where you can select the “Schedule” button at the bottom of the page. From here you will be asked to create a new schedule or select an existing one.

  • New – For a new schedule, tap the “New” button. This opens a “Commute Details” page, where you will need to fill your ride details like (One Way or Two Way, Home-to-Office or Office-to-Home, etc.,). If you want to make the schedule recurring (a set schedule that repeats each week), set the toggle button to ON. Tap Submit. If there are already any schedules for that particular day, the app will indicate that a schedule already exists. Please check the “My Schedules” page to know which days you have schedules.
  • Existing – Just add a user to the existing schedule.

Once a schedule is created or modified, the other user(s) will be notified and asked to accept the schedule. The schedule will be reviewable in the “My Schedule” page under the “Pending” tab. The other user must swipe on the schedule to select either “Accept” or “Reject.”

Q: How to make a schedule Active?

  • Schedules will be saved in the ‘My Schedules’ page. You can view this page through the Menu at any time.
  • In order for a schedule to become active, a driver must be assigned to it. zooKKies can becomes drivers by filling in the “Driver Profile” and registering their vehicle information. Passengers do not need to be registered as drivers, but they must have logged in their payment information.
  • If no driver is assigned to the schedule or if the payment information is not logged in, the schedule will remain inactive. The schedule will also remain inactive if there is no one else besides the Admin included in the carpool.
  • If, after assigning a driver and logging the payment information, the schedule screen still indicates that it is inactive, simply swipe to the left to select the “Activate” icon. This will automatically move the schedule to the “Active” tab.
  • Only ACTIVE tab schedules will be seen in the “Ride in Progress” screen.

Admin

  • Whoever initiates the schedule will be assigned as the Admin and be able modify the schedule. Admin rights can be passed to others in the schedule.
  • *Only an Admin can delete a schedule or make it active or inactive.
  • To pass on Admin capabilities to other passengers, navigate to the Commute Details page. Tap on the Profile picture to change the driver, Admin, or remove a user from the schedule. You can also put the user on hold, take it off hold, view the profile picture, etc.

Q: Who can make changes to the schedule?

Only an Admin can make changes to the schedule (Days, Time etc.,). However, any member of the schedule can remove himself or herself, put themselves on hold, or become a driver.

Q: How do I delete/remove a schedule?

In the “My Schedules” screen, you can slide any schedule to delete or deactivate them.

  • Delete – Permanently deletes the schedule.
  • Deactivate – Schedule will be moved to the “Inactive” tab. This can be changed back to active at any time.

*Only an Admin can delete a schedule or make it active or inactive.

  • You can deactivate any schedule under the Active tab in “My Schedules” by sliding it to the left. This can be changed back at any time.

Q: How can I change who is the Driver or Passenger for a ride?

In the Commute Details page, tap on the profile picture to change the driver, Admin, remove a user from the schedule, put the user on hold or unhold, view a profile, etc.,

Q: Who can create a schedule?

Anyone registered with zooKKs can create a schedule. He or she will be the Admin to that particular schedule.

Q: How can I remove a user from a schedule?

After navigating to the Commute Details page, tap on the profile picture of the user you wish to remove and select “Remove.” Selecting the profile picture in Commute Details also allows you to change the driver, admin, put the user on hold from the schedule, unhold, view their profile, etc.

Q: What does it mean to put a Ko-zooKKie on hold?

When a user is put on hold for a schedule, rather than making the schedule “inactive,” the user will be able to see the schedule but will not participate with it. They will not be charged for commutes and will not carpool with the other members. This is useful if a user is unable to participate in a schedule for a small period of time or can only be involved from time-to-time but would still like to carpool at specific times with specific people. Instead of creating new schedules every time a user has a change of plans, they can simply be put on hold.

Q: How can I view my schedules?

You can view your schedules by going into the menu and selecting “My Schedules.” This directs you to your active, inactive, and pending schedules, which you can toggle between using their respective tabs.

  • Active Tab – All the active schedules will be listed here.
  • Inactive Tab – All the inactive schedules will be listed here.
  • Pending Tab – All the schedule requests from other users will be listed here. If you accept a request, you will be added to that schedule and if you reject it you will not.

In the “My Schedules” screen, you can slide any schedule to delete, activate, or deactivate it.

*Only an Admin can delete a schedule or make it active or inactive.

*Only ACTIVE schedules will be seen in the “Ride in Progress” screen.

Q: Why should I schedule carpools through the app?

Working professionals that commute everyday are busy people who don’t have much time to sort out the nit picky details for carpooling. With in-app schedules, you can do it once and ride everyday. There’s no need to juggle scheduling, communication, and reimbursement all separately. zooKKs streamlines the whole carpooling process into one easy app.
